Two of Australia's leading mid tier miners are looking to expand their base metals portfolio with projects in Western Australia's Kimberley. The most advanced of the pair is Kagara Ltd, which has already completed the prefeasibility due diligence on its Admiral Bay zinc-lead-silver-barite play in the region's south west. Meanwhile, just to the south (and near the northern edge of the Canning Basin), Kambalda nickel king Mincor Resources NL is starting some serious field work at its Bohemia zinc prospect with the hope it will find a repeat of the nearby (and high grade) Lennard Shelf ore bodies.
