Bearing a new name and regional focus, Papillon Resources Ltd -previously Colonial Resources - has emerged chrysalis-like from its activities in the eastern goldfields with an exciting new gold play with the Medinindi project in Mali. Colonial started the process last month with the acquisition of Central African Gold Plc (CAG) shares in Songhoi Resources SARL and Mali Goldfields SARL, giving it two prospective assets in the country's south and west. This included 18 permits in the highly prospective Kedougou-Kenieba window. Now, having secured an indicated and inferred JORC estimate at Medinandi, the junior is working to further define the project's parameters, as well as test regional targets.
