Unearthing our Past and Future -Resourcing Tomorrow: this will be the underlying theme for the 34th International Geological Congress (IGC) to be held in Queensland next year at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from August 5-10. The 2012 forum will encompass the crucial contributions the geosciences make in meeting societal needs and sustaining the Earth. Australia's experience in developing a strong and sustainable mineral and energy resources sector will underpin a program emphasising future hard rock and energy supplies.
