The incoming president of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy has issued some simple advice to investors in mineral stocks - read and digest the JORC (Joint Ore Reserves Committee) Code. Speaking during a recent seminar on project evaluation run by AusIMM's south Queensland branch, Alice Clarke said the document was designed to give punters confidence when trying to make a decision vis-a-vis what resources stocks to invest in.
