As the leader in what looks set to become a wave of new lithium focused players in Western Australia, Galaxy Resources Ltd is planning for its first production of the niche mineral by the fourth quarter of next year. The company has effectively positioned itself to supply the lucrative Asian market via downstream processing to produce lithium carbonate and, to this end, work on its lithium carbonate facility at Jiangsu in China is set to start in April.
