Although Emergent Resources Ltd's Beyondie flagship project sits just 160 kilometres south of BHP Billiton Ltd's massive Mt Whaleback mine in the Pilbara, the explorer will most likely become a member of the so-called Mid West alliance, a group of small players (including the likes of Murchison Metals Ltd and Sinosteel Corporation) situated to the south west which all have their eyes on the development of the proposed Oakajee deepwater port and associated rail infrastructure north of Geraldton.
