OZ Minerals early blueprint has two mining options for Carrapateena

Two early mine development concepts are being looked at for development of the deep-seated elephant, the Carrapateena copper-gold project in South Australia's far north.Owner OZ Minerals Ltd (ASX:OZL) is still advancing the commercial proving stage for the project but told the Australian Copper Conference in Brisbane that it was looking at a two-lift block cave mining concept to haul between 10 to 15 million tonnes per annum.A second concept was for sub-level open stoping that could see 4-6 Mtpa of ore brought to surface.
