IN THE SPACE of just 15 months emerging Coolgardie gold producer Focus Minerals Ltd has almost made the leap from being a small toll treating operation to a sustainable mid tier producer of the precious metal. The Western Australian-based company is currently refurbishing its Three Mile Hill plant for 17 million dollars- an undertaking that will allow it to process 1.2 million tonnes of ore per annum instead of the 400,000t a year it currently sends through Barminco's nearby Greenfields mill. As part of the construction contract with Como Engineers, Focus will receive new primary, secondary and tertiary crushers as well as a new gravity circuit, elution circuit, gold room and cyclone tower.
