Deposit grows, but more is needed

A FIVE-FOLD INCREASE in resources at its Double 8 uranium deposit within its Ponton project in Western Australia would be needed to justify development for Manhattan Corporation Ltd. With resources of 10.9 million pounds of uranium oxide, company chairman Alan Eggers - himself no stranger to the industry having formerly headed Summit Resources Ltd - said at least 50 million lbs (5 million lbs production per annum over 10 years) would be needed to justify a start-up. The project is located 200 kilometres east-north east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder on the edge of the Great Victoria Desert and the company holds 1,300 square km of applications and granted exploration tenements.
