Initial geological comparison goes badly awry for ambitious junior

CLAIMS BY PROTO Resources & Investments Ltd that it had found a Norilsk-style deposit at its Lindeman's project in the Northern Territory have been dismissed following the return of latest drilling results. This had not, however, stopped the company's managing director Andrew Mortimer from cashing in at the height of some speculation back in mid June. It seems the market has now caught up with the news of these latest results, throwing a bucket of cold water on Proto's share price. The junior is now trading back at last year's mean of around 5 cents.
