THE DECISION TO look for minerals in one of the now famous BRIC countries - Brazil - is already paying off handsomely for West Perth-based resources house Mirabela Nickel Ltd. Since listing on the ASX in July 2004, the company and its exploration endeavours have caught the eye of both the investment market (its Australian stock has recently been hovering above the 6 dollars/share mark) and the global mining community as it develops its Santa Rita nickel sulphide play in the South American country's Bahia State.
