Western Australian-based Midas Resources Ltd looks to be heading into a big year, with feasibility developments at its Fortitude gold mine near Lake Carey augmented by iron ore exploration in the state's Pilbara following its acquisition of a 75,000 dollars tenement package last year. The junior also has applications pending in WA's mineral-rich Patterson Province. Midas' main challenge for Fortitude -located 80 kilometres south of Laverton - concerns the acquisition of a processing mill to enable it to make the leap to production. The company is looking at the option of using an existing treatment facility, such as the one at Barrick Gold Corporation's Granny Smith or AngloGold Ashanti Ltd's Sunrise Dam, to resolve this issue.
