Byrnecut casts net wider

Byrnecut Mining Pty Ltd was formed in mid-1987 by a core group of Western Australian-based mining identities. The group grasped an opportunity within the expanding mining sector to provide specialist underground contracting services, particularly from highly mechanised mine development and production methods. WA was and continues to be a leader in decline development and diesel truck haulage, allowing for quick access and production from underground deposits. Originally headquartered in the famous gold mining city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the company initially commenced work at the now mined out Bellevue gold mine, 650 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie. The head office is now based in Perth and operates throughout Australia at gold, nickel, copper, tantalite, lead and zinc mines using a variety of mechanised production methods.
