HIDDEN VALLEY, LOCATED in the Marobe Province, is slated for first production in March next year. It should then build up to full production by June at the annual rate of 280,000 ounces of gold and 4.5 million oz of silver. The 260 million dollars Hidden Valley operation is forecast to be capable of generating 42 million tonnes of ore grading 2.2 grams/tonne gold and 35 g/t silver over its life. According to Harmony's acting chief executive for South East Asia, Johannes van Heerden, current drilling is expected to lead to a new reserve by June of 3.9 million oz. Its Wafi project, located 70 kilometres north of Hidden Valley, is currently the subject of a pre feasibility study (PFS).
