Encouraging early results from Argentina

THE COMPANY'S URANIUM portfolio now includes the new Las Marias project, located 200 kilometres north of the city of San Juan, and Rio Colorado, which sits about 1,000 km north west of Buenos Aires. Both projects were previously explored by Argentina's Atomic Energy Commission. Las Marias contains a seven kilometre unit of outcropping uranium-rich sandstones, including visible uranium oxide minerals. Jackson's managing director Brett Smith told Gold&Minerals Gazette initial exploration in the area using hand-held scintillometers had recorded average anomalism of between 100 to 550 parts per million uranium oxide equivalent up to three metres in width, with highest results of about 1,300 ppm uranium oxide equivalent.
