WHILE AN OFFICIAL stance on this position has yet to be determined by the Federal Government, Ian Macfarlane, the Industry, Tourism and Resources Minister, has not dismissed the possibility that the government might go down this path. Speaking during Vertical Events'third Australian Uranium Conference in WA, Macfarlane said it was the responsibility of good government to tackle the issue once "ideology takes over practicality".
