WHILE IT HAS been previously explored for tin, the Wilson River area in Tasmania could turn out to be a whole new lead/zinc province. This is the hope of Jaguar Minerals Ltd, which will soon remove its rig from site via helicopter - a necessity given the difficulty traversing the topography - as winter moves in. The current (second) drill program has generated encouraging zinc/lead sulphide intersections in previously unexplored terrain along a 3 kilometre long soil geochemical anomaly that straddles the contact between an ultramafic rock belonging to the Heazelwood Ultramafic Complex and the Devonian Meredith Granite.
