FROM ALL INDICATIONS, it seems South Australian prospector Rudy Gomez is set to join the ranks of Australian mining billionaires. Gomez is set to receive 66 percent of the fair market value for the Carrapateena iron oxide/coppe/gold play in his home state if Canadian mining house Teck Cominco Ltd decides to take on 100 percent ownership of the deposit. Teck has already drilled over 60 holes into the property since becoming involved in the undertaking in late 2005 just months after Gomez's RMG Services Ltd, with the help of some monies provided by the SA Government, put in the discovery hole.
