The identification of new gold and copper deposits in South Australia's Gawler Craton and western Victoria is the thrust of a new capital raising and planned ASX listing by Marathon Resources Ltd. Marathon owns or is earning interest in four highly prospective gold, copper and iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG) tenements in the Gawler Craton. It also has three gold, copper and base metal tenements in the Adelaide Geosyncline areas of South Australia as well as two similar mineral style tenements south of Stawell on the western perimeter of Victorias gold belt. Adelaide-based Marathon's IPO lodged with ASIC early this month seeks 5 million dollars with the issue of up to 25 million ordinary shares at 20 cents per share. The minimum subscription is 15 million shares or 3 million dollars with the offer closing in late November.
