Arevolutionary new geophysical data processing technique is being used to guide exploration and targeting of new mineral resources under cover. The Overburden Filter? maps detail within an overburden and effectively sees through the masking effects of overburden to detect underlying structures and mineralisation. Developed by Perth-based geophysical consultant and researcher Stephen Mudge of Vector Research Pty Ltd (and formerly of RGC Exploration), the Overburden Filter? -- or OB filter -- is helping explorers discover more in their survey data and meet the challenge of exploring under cover.
