The world's second biggest miner has reported its best annual results following what it called a stellar performance in the December quarter. At the close of February, the Rio de Janeiro-based Vale Ltd told the market 2010 had been marked by all-time high figures for operating revenues, operating income, operating margin, cash generation and net earnings, the latter of which was the "greatest ever in the mining industry".
