Major global geoscience conference for Brisbane

The 34th IGC is to be held in Brisbane from 5-10 August 2012. Held every four years, the IGC has a prestigious history from 1878 and attracts thousands of geoscientists from all over the planet. Australia's only previous IGC was held in Sydney in 1976, where more than 3,500 delegates attended. Recent IGCs have attracted over 6,000 delegates.
