Industry group to help ensure the expeditious discovery of the next round of major ore bodies

A new Queensland-focused group has been formed to help shape perceptions vis-a-vis the importance of exploration while promoting the state's minerals and energy prospectivity. The Queensland Exploration Council -an initiative of the Queensland Resources Council - has pretty much hit the ground running with the recent appointment of veteran geologist and erstwhile state deputy co-ordinator general Dr Geoff Dickie as its inaugural chairman. One of the key aims of the QEC will be to promote the huge exploration opportunities in Queensland and all of the associated spin offs to the wider economy.
