With the Australian resources sector facing a new set of challenges following the unveiling of the Ken Henry tax review, the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies is gearing up to tackle the issues generated by the document at its coming annual congress. The AMEC Convention - scheduled for June 1-3 in Perth, Western Australia - will have a strong technical flavour this year, with organisers targeting an information sharing approach between different arms of the industry to help stimulate greater development in the shadow of an exploration lag.
