DURING APRIL, SYDNEY-BASED Icon Resources Ltd completed the first stage of a three dimensional induced polarisation (3D-IP) survey over its Professor leases in western Tasmania. According to the company, while the results were preliminary, the survey indicated the presence of a significant amount of chargeable material in the vicinity of the Grieves zinc deposit. Recent drilling by lcon, conducted prior to the 3D-IP survey, was focused on testing the depth extent of the oxide mineralisation below the sphalerite in peat at the Grieves zinc project.
