A high-profile group of senior international mining and resource executives has teamed up on the board of new Perth-based mining company Mundo Minerals Ltd. The company recently unveiled plans to build a substantial new mid-tier Australian gold production house with a portfolio of advanced South American gold assets following a planned IPO. Mundo's chief executive - former corporate finance executive John Langford - said the junior had assembled quality gold assets in Brazil and Peru, likening the opportunities in the South American gold industry to those in Australia in the 1970s prior to its modern gold boom.
