Compass Resources NL is fortunate that the hard work in building up base metal resources over the past 10 years is beginning to pay off. The company believes it controls an entire mineral district which will see it emerge as a longer term supplier of a number of metals. The first step will occur this year with commissioning expected. A development decision was announced last month for Compass' Browns base metal oxide project in the Northern Territory. Construction start-up is planned for early in the dry season. Dry season access is usually in May.
