Although Straits Resources Ltd is the major shareholder in copper producer Tritton Resources Ltd, one investment adviser has warned punters to stick with the diversified mining house rather than increase their exposure to its half-owned subsidiary. Stock Resource's Stephen Bartrop believes Straits is planning to use Tritton as its dedicated listed base metals subsidiary. The West Australian-based Straits, Bartrop said, was seeking to establish subsidiary cash generating companies which specialised in certain commodities.
