A relative newcomer to the ASX with the stellar management line up, Apex Minerals NL is not planning to let itself be rushed by the market in terms of future acquisitions and growth plans. Managing director Mark Ashley admitted the group's share price of 37 cents did include an element of expectation, but said the junior would patiently look for opportunities. "I don't care what the market thinks or says - we will make decisions based on fundamentals," he explained. The company, formed six months ago, is 16 percent owned by Mark Creasy and also boasts shareholders such as Josh Pitt and Neil Tomlinson. The management team of Ashley, Glen Jardine and Mark Bennett (all ex LionOre Mining Australia Ltd) is also complemented by non executive chairman Kim Robinson (current chairman of Kagara Zinc Ltd).
