Company gears up for the next stage at Merlin

North Australian Diamonds Ltd (formerly Striker Resources) is continuing to unlock the key to recovering diamonds from its Merlin project in the Northern Territory. To date, the company has produced in excess of 12,000 carats from Merlin sorthouse tailings with the largest diamonds recovered to date being 14.21 carats and 10.27 carats. This is the first step in a staged approach to evaluate and redevelop the Merlin mine. A total of 300 + 1 carat diamonds have now been recovered. With an average stone size of 0.08 carats, more than 140,000 stones have been recovered and yellow diamonds continues to represent about 5 percent of the tailings diamond population with the largest being a 3.16 carat octahedral good quality gem.
