It has been a busy 2005 so far for BeMaX Resources NL. During the past six months the company joined the producer ranks through its Ludlow operation in the south west of Western Australia. It also started serious work on its Gingko mine in New South Wales and got into train the establishment of a mineral separation plant at Broken Hill. In addition, BeMaX secured finance of up to 108 million dollars. During all of this the resources house made a new discovery at its northern Murray Basin project -- Campaspe -- and struck a deal with Iluka Resources Ltd to acquire the Snapper extension. BeMaX already has 61.9 million tonnes of heavy minerals the Murray Basin region of New South Wales. Speaking to shareholders at the company's AGM, chairman Tony McLennon said with the Cable Sands subsidiary transforming BeMaX from explorer to producer, the next step was the completion of the Ginkgo mine (part of the Pooncarrie project) and the mineral separation plant at Broken Hill.
