Roche Mining (MT) continues to reinforce its position in the mineral sands industry, particularly within the Murray Basin region of New South Wales. Iluka Resources Ltd's Douglas project marks the first major installation of Roche (MT)'s Carrara Separator anywhere in the world, while BeMax's Ginkgo concentrator will be the first in the world to be fitted with Roche (MT)'s newly launched HC1 high capacity spiral technology. The Douglas project also marks the first major installation of Holman Tables following the formation of the global alliance between Roche (MT) and Holman-Wilfley. Iluka appointed Roche Muting to deliver the new flagship project in the Murray Basin by providing the engineering design, construction and supply of the bulk of the processing equipment. Roche Mining (MT)'s general manager Glen Zille said the Douglas project, incorporating a mining unit plan (MUP), wet concentrating plant (WCP), mineral separation plant (MSP) and associated infrastructure, will be the first major mineral sands project to be developed specifically to process material in the Murray Basin.
