The African region is a high priority for diversified Australian engineer and project manager Ausenco Ltd. Since completion of the North Mara gold project in 2002, Ausenco has moved quickly to capitalise on its success to deliver several projects throughout the continent. In a joint venture with Bateman Minerals and Metals, Ausenco is currently executing the engineering and construction contract for Equinox Minerals' Lumwana copper project in Zambia, which will become the largest copper project in Africa. The TV is leveraging off its success in delivering the Sepon copper-gold project for Oxiana in Laos in 2005, applying knowledge and experience gained to maximise delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
