Emerging Victorian resources house Mintails Ltd is embracing the opportunities currently being presented to the junior end of the market by South Africa's changing minerals sector. The Melbourne and Johannesburg-based company is looking to re-commission and upgrade the mothballed Mogale gold project, which sits 60 kilometres west of Johannesburg and is located within the West Rand goldfields of the country's mineral-rich Witwatersrand Basin. Mogale was put on care and maintenance in 2004 after 13 years' of operations. It produced an average 70,000 ounces per annum.
