Lodestone Exploration Ltd is eager to start an extensive drilling program on three main project areas targeting copper-gold in central Queensland. After laying most of the airborne, geophysical and geological groundwork, a shortage of drill rigs in Queensland has put a slight delay on a drilling program scheduled to begin in May/June. Lodestone's executive director John McCawley said a rig was expected to be at the company's Mount Morgan project, some 25 kilometres south west of Rockhampton, by late June. A seconding will arrive in early July. "It's fairly rugged terrain sowed need rigs that can get up into the high country and it's just taken us a little longer than expected," McCawley said. The Mt Morgan project is targeting two major magnetic features to the west of the historic Mt Morgan mine.
