Oil-rich Middle-East eyes a nuclear future

Soaring domestic energy consumption will see the fossil-fuel-rich nations of the Middle East emerge as a major new market for uranium in the coming decade. Regional nuclear technology lead for global engineering and project services company Worley Parsons Matt Robinson told the Australian Uranium Conference 2012 that even by the most conservative estimates, without resorting to nuclear power most of the energy hungry nations of the Middle-East would be net importers of electricity within a decade.
