摘要

It seems some investors - via exchange traded funds (ETFs) - are hoarding silver to pass on to their children. During his analysis of the precious metal, the entertaining Jim Steel of HSBC Securities Incorporated told his PDAC audience that market research carried out by the organisation a few years ago found punters who were predominantly male, over 50 and at least US$1 million in debt, were holding on to their ETFs for inheritance purposes. It was unlikely, Steel said, this situation had changed.
