EU base prices appear to find their floor; in unusual circumstances

On average, EU base prices have risen for austenitic andeven alternative ferritic benchmarks, which so far seemunaffected by any Asia-specific malaise. While Steel First’sown assessments for Europe reveal there were still suppliersbooking material from as low as ?1,050/t delivered in theBenelux and other north European heartlands earlier inthe month, they have recorded ?10/t gains of late, andfor the more aggressive suppliers in the same areas, atup to ?1,090/t.
