EU base prices appear to find their floor; in unusual circumstances

During the past month, EU base prices have trended lower,ending the month, according to Steel First assessments,at an average of ?1,060/t for cold-rolled (CR) 304 2mm/2bsheet, which is ?15/t lower than the stable pattern observedover the summer (July and August). In an unusual month,however, base prices were recorded to slip, firstly to aslow as ?1,045/t, on average, before reviving ?15/t after thesurcharges were published on September 25th.
