The proposed Tentative Interim Amendment (TIA) #984 to the National Fuel Gas Code, which would have instituted new requirements for the purging of gas piping systems, has failed a vote of the National Fuel Gas Code Committee. The TIA failed the vote on its technical merit with less than half of the committee voting in favor of it.
