摘要

In this article, a novel design method of broadband radar absorbing material is proposed. This method is based on orthogonal arrangement of complementary split-ring resonator etched artificial magnetic conductors, which exhibit polarization-dependent features. Owing to phase cancellation, scattering energy along the boresight is reduced over a wide frequency range. Measured results demonstrate that the frequency range of 210 dB RCS reduction spans from 7.38 to 10.47 GHz with the bandwidth up to 34.6%, validating the effectiveness of the method.
