摘要

The development of the chemical composition gratings (CCGs) is described, and the influencing factors on reflectivity of CCGs in hydrogen-loaded German silicate fibers have been studied. Experimental results show that improving the initial fiber Bragg grating (FBG) strength and enhancing the hydrogen concentration in FBGs inscription help to improve the reflectivity of the CCGs, and using different laser pulse energy of fabricating the FBGs has little effect on the reflectivity of CCGs. Finally the reasons of improving the reflectivity of CCGs are also discussed.
