CSST Class Action Settlement Gets Final Approval

On Feb.1,Arkansas Circuit Judge John Thomas issued a final order approving a national class action settlement for owners of corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST) used as gas piping inside structures.The 35-page order was released for publication on March 1.Under the settlement,owners of CSST gas piping systems installed as of Sept.5,2006 are entitled to a voucher that can be used toward the purchase and installation of lightning protection or grounding systems designed to protect the piping from potentially catastrophic failure as the result of lightning strikes.
