An account is given of the improvement of milk quality by means of management, milking methods, teat cleaning and disinfection, the cleaning of milking machines, fly control, the culling of cows with udder disease and feeding. Details are also given of ensuring milk quality by the use of correct milking procedures, the cleaning of milking implements and premises and the cooling of milk. Data are presented in 66 tables and graphs.
