Despite substantially lower steel production and underlying scrapconsumption, most US scrap benchmarks remained unchanged followingthe conclusion of monthly negotiations in December. Indeed, domesticraw (crude) steel production has declined 9.4% over the past fourweeks to 1.487Mt in the week ending 28th November.
