Is this the calm before the storm, or should we expect to see more of the same later this week? With Chinese participants out of the picture last week tin remained locked in a sideways trading pattern, holding just sub $25,000/tonne for the duration. If Chinese buying comes back strongly we could see a short lived rally, but the threat remains that a downward correction is on the cards driven by rising stocks, a deteriorating technical picture, strong Indonesian exports and continuing weakness in end-use demand across most regions.
