With equity and commodity investors still uncertain over which direction the European and Chinese economies will take, a risk-averse attitude is prevailing in the aluminium market and across the base metals generally. This saw three-month aluminium hit a low for this year of $1,976/tonne last week, although it rebounded above $2,030/tonne in yesterday’s trading.
