Metal continued to be warranted in New Orleans early last week, with approximately 70,000 tonnes registered in just two trading days. As we noted in our last report, tightness in the nearby spreads was responsible for drawing metal on to LME warrant, with cash to three-months narrowing to a $1/ tonne backwardation on the days that the metal landed in New Orleans.
