Aluminium and the other base metals recovered some of the ground they lost over the last few weeks this morning. This came as European markets rallied on the news that the European Union’s finance ministers had agreed to a 750 million euros ($972m) package to guarantee the debt of all of the Eurozone’s 16 national budgets.
