There has been a noticeable pick-up in activity on LME stocks since August 12, with both the outflow and inflow increasing. Whether this signals an early end to the summer lull remains to be seen, but since that date the average daily gross outflow has been 2,400 tpd, whereas in the late-June to mid-August period the average daily outflow was around 300 tpd.
